Gasp! Ben Folds and one of my favorite novelists together! That's so frigging awesome! Ben always goes beyond to do something interesting like the A Capella project, the hardcore rap covers, the way he turns the crowd into practically a Gospel Choir during his live shows, etc., etc. Ben never just phones it in and makes the same album! Anyway, I honestly didn't know about this project and now I'm really excited! Thanks Cosmic!

Yep, they did a whole album together and from what I read it'll be coming out later this month. Mr. Hornby penned the lyrics and Ben wrote and played the music.

I love how he is all over the place too. I mean, who else but Ben Folds could/would cover "Hava Nagila"?

I really do think he is one of the single most talented musicians and songwriters to come out in the last 15 years.

I love Rockin' The Suburbs. As a matter of fact, I was just listening to "Losing Lisa" on my iPod; I love that song. I also really like "Brick" from Ben Folds Five.

@ Schindler-Dude, I'd say you have great music taste based on your positive responses about the artist in my threads but in an effort to not sound conceited I'll just say it's awesome that we share such common ground musically!

Re-visiting this thread tonight from seeing Kuaizi's list and talking with you Soot. Seems this may be a good starting point!? You kind of know where my head is at these days musically...seems to be an epic starting line...more orchestrated in the writing???
