This came up in an MTV Classic interview. David Gilmore said, "It's not going to happen."

^^I won't give up hope on it no matter what anyone says right now, people change and if Roger is willing to let the past go then David should do the same. After all it's not like it would be a full blown tour and they really don't have to rehearse that much so it would be easy to pull it off.

I think there is still a window of opportunity for one last hurrah before they really do close the door on Pink Floyd.

^^^ and film both for a DVD :cheers2

... and we're still waiting for the official DVD release of the Zep reunion. Meanwhile there is youtube.

A Floyd reunion would be cool but David has a habit of pulling a John Fogerty/Robbie Robertson "I'm never playin' with those guys again" response to any mention of a reunion. After Rick's passing though he may have a change of heart.

Actually, David probably won't "Tour" again, specifically because of Rick's death. They fed off each other and 1/s of that puzzle is gone. David will do one-off's, but you can forget a "reunion" and/or full set. It won't happen, while they are now friends, musically they are now world's apart.

As it happens, I'll be at Roger Waters The Wall Live show this Sunday at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The most screwed up thing with all this..."I'm not playing with him" or "I'm done with this band" is that 9 times out of 10, both parties play music that was from the same band they wish to be no part of.

Sometimes each other's material with stand in singers. :oyea:

Just get together and play the songs right. Nothing wrong with trying to carry on the music if someone has died....for special purposes or events...but to play all the same music....I dunno.

It's like in KISS...Gene belly aches how it's not good to play with Ace any longer and in hindsight he was bad for the band.

But here they go onstage playing Cold Gin, Parasite, Shock Me ect. All songs written and sometimes sung by the dude who wasn't a good fit. :lmao:

Whatever David and Roger do is fine with me, it would be nice if they did a special full set to honor Rick's memory, but if we have really seen the last of Pink Floyd in any form then I will simply say "Thanks for the Great music you have left us...", and wish them the best in whatever they do.

I'm fed up with these two guys, Waters and Gilmour and thier big egos. This is been going on for 30 years now. Absolutely ridiculous!

^^They are on good terms now Joe, it's just that David doesn't want to do anymore PF tours etc., similar to Robert Plant's stance on a reunion tour with Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham. We will have to settle for special "One Of's" when they occur. I respect their decision, even though I wanted to see one last Hurrah from the three remaining members.

^^^How long will that last LG?

I think some of these "old" bands should just retire.
