I understand your point, but you listed just about every artist that wasn't from the 60's or 70's. Yes, there are some great artists from those decades, but there is some great new music too. R.E.M., for example, pioneered the whole Alt. Rock genre and influenced countless artists, so they definitely deserve to be on this list. While I don't care much for Prince, I can understand why he'd make this list and I think he deserves it.

R.E.M. was influenced by E.L.O. and they should also be on this list!

I agree with the ones I put in bold. VH1 may be out of it slightly, but at least they can tell that there are good artist outside of two eras of music :D
