My brother showed me this today... it's www.pandora.com

It's amazing. The idea for something like this has been tried many times but none of them have worked IMO.... until now. This is sooo cool, you can tell it what kind of music you like and it'll play stuff you'll probably like. It has a pretty strong catolouge too, Robin Trower, Anna Nalick, Silvertide, QMS, they've got lotsa good stuff.

So far I've made a hard rock/acoustic rock station called "Big Cheese" with stuff like Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Alice In Chains and The Doors. A rap station with stuff like Citizen Cope and Eminem. And a blues station with all the usual Trower, Hendrix, SRV, TYA, some Zep and a little bit of Dylan (Visions of Johanna on right now).

I was going to post about this great site, but apparently, someone beat me to it! It is great. I have created a bunch of stations. You can even add more artists to an existing station.
Through this site I have found other obscure artists I like, like Donny Fortado. He is a great blues/folk artist who is not in the mainstream music. :)
I recommend checking out this site.

I must be dim or something. I`ve been a member of the genome project for months and never really thought about posting of it here. I don`t go there often...perhaps once or twice a week. Usually I log in when I`m dusting or some other sort of drudgery. It`s fun, I`ve managed to remember a lot of groups I`d forgotten about, and also some music that I already own but don`t play often. I`ve gotten both of my kids to visit also. Chewy, my oldest is a huge reggae fan and she loves it. Katherine, my youngest, is a college student and between classes and cheerleading and her boy friend doesn`t have much time for it but when she`s home she visits...she likes it as well. Personally I think it`s a great idea, and I get the impression that the folks running it are having fun and doing a good job of it.
