I was a little bit (though not entirely) surprised when I clicked on the "Plays" column for my iTunes. Part of me asks "who'da thunk it," while the other part thinks that it sounds about right.

What are the top 5 songs that you listen to on your iTunes?

Mine are:

Flying In A Blue Dream - Joe Satriani
Listen To Her Heart - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Evil Woman - ELO
Stone Cold - Rainbow
Free Me - Roger Daltry

I've loved Free Me since its release, but never knew that it would take such a high position in my listening habits. Flying In A Blue Dream caught me by surprise as well. I'd have never guessed that it would take the #1 spot. Not that I'm complaining. Petty, ELO and Rainbow, on the other hand, fit like a glove.

Care to share?

Well let's see...

Just A Man- Faith No More
Not The Only Person- The Rumble Strips
The Story- Brandi Carlile
Somewhere Over The Rainbow- Tiny Tim
Night Work- Scissor Sisters

I had to wipe my computer clean not too long ago so I'm not surprised that I'm surprised by the songs in the top spots.

I don't usually play music off of my iTunes.

That being said, I still play it enough to have a Top 25 played (though I think my number one is only like 50 plays)

The funny thing is, I don't even really like my Top 5 as my best songs, I just think theyre fun little songs to listen to with friends or whatever

anyway...

5. I Me Mine - The Beatles- (28 plays)
4. Classico- Tenacious D (33 plays)
3. Lady Madonna- The Beatles (39 plays)
2. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away- The Beatles (47 plays)
1. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)- Beatles (56 plays)

"Only". My top song only has 14 plays. :heheh: But as I said, my computer had to get wiped clean recently.

Blue October-My Never (55 Plays)
(at one point my I-tunes top five would've been all Blue October because I played the shit out of the Approaching Normal album)

Nomy-If You Can Hear This (52)
(I was obsessed with this track for a period)

City and Colour-Happiness By The Kilowatt (52)
(I could play this forever and never lose the feeling it brings)

Green River Ordinance-Endlessly (52)
(another song obsession for a bit)

Lil' Wayne-Runnin' (47)
(like with Blue October a number of tracks from Rebirth made it into my top 25)

This is a fun list but not really accurate of my all time favorite songs though they are all obviously songs I love! I listen to music from so many sources and I think it'd be more accurate if it picked up on what I listen to on my I-pod in my car or just with my headphones rather than on my computer! :D

Recent Top Five:

3. Sgt. peppers (reprise)- the beatles (126 plays)
2. My Generation- The Who (151 plays)

I just recently discovered the number one song a month or two ago, and have been playing it 5 times a day. I only listen for a minute or so, but that song is so cool and trippy, I love it!
