Pixies do some stuff in their own broken spanish

Yeah, I was going to mention that! Love that song. Didn't Janes Addiction do a song or two in Spanish as well?

I don't listen to much rock that's in other languages. Guitar Wolf (Japanese) is about all I can think of right now, other than the German versions that the Beatles cut of a few of their early songs.

There are two jazz albums that I love however that have some beautiful Portuegese singing on them:

'Jazz Samba Encore!' by Stan Getz and Luiz Bonfá, and 'Getz/Gilberto'.

When I want to totally chill out and relax, these cds are great listening.

... 'Le Mystere De Voix Bulgares' (the Mysterious Voices of Bulgaria) is another cd that I like a lot (Although for some reason I only ever listen to it at X-Mas).

I LOOK more than listen (Those Takamine acoustics are slick :D). But really, I do like this song. It's catchy.

Yes, Tomcat, those Takamine acoustics sure have some...uh, nice curves to them! (*ahem*) Thanks for posting that!

Here's the Lithuanian folk rock ensemble Atalyja:

I saw Atalyja perform in 2007 across from the main square in the Užupis neighbourhood of Vilnius:

Since I'm Croat, all music I have is in different language - they're on English xD
I rarely listen to Croatian music because it mostly suck. There are few good bands, but even them are minority in my playlist.

I've got a good number of bands who sing in non-English:

X Japan (Japanese/English)
Die Toten Hosen (German)
Gogol Bordello (Ukraine/English/Spanish)
hide with Spread Beaver (Japanese)
Mano Negra (Spanish/French)
Manu Chao (Spanish/French)
The Pillows (Japanese)

These all come to mind first.

I listen to a lot of French music, especially the Ye-Ye Girls - Francoise Hardy France Gall, Chantal Goya, Jacqueline Talieb among many others. Serge Gainsbourg too.

I also enjoy Tropicalia and just about anything sung in Spanish. It's such a musical language. Gal Costa is my favorite.

I listen to Bulgarian folk music once in a while.

I have a VHS tape of a PBS special about Mongolian Throat singing, it sort of grows on you.:D

I love the sound of the Didgeridoo, but I don't know if there are any albums available...national geographic's tv show is where I first heard of them.

I love Enya, and a few of the other Gaelic/Celtic artists, just reading the song titles is challenging, let alone trying to understand the lyrics.

Rammstein, a friend from Austria got me interested in them, I like the German vocals it fits with their sound, same as quite a few other Austrian and German bands as well, but I don't remember their names.
