I love the Strokes...I just completed buying the songs I was missing from their albums I had on iTunes, and just bought the new Julian Casablancas solo album, and I love all of it!

Yes! I didn't expect much of Julian's solo album. But it's very good. I have always described it as: "This is how The Strokes would've sounded if they had existed in the 80's" ... It's a great album. Now I'm really looking forward to the next Strokes one. It can't be anything less than genius.

The Strokes Announce New Album
This past week, Alternative Rock band, The Strokes have announced a new album from the band, entitled 'Angles' to be released in the U.S. on March 22, 2011. The U.K. date has not been officially fixed, but sources say it will most likely be March 21. This will be the band's first record since the release of 'First Impressions of Earth' (released in 2006), and since the release of the Strokes' lead singer, Julian Casablancas's solo album, 'Phrazes For the Young' released in 2009. The band has also mentioned that the album will contain 10 tracks in total, with song names including "Taken for a Fool," "Life Is Simple," "Call Me Back," "Radio Minor Madness," and "Macchu Picchu". The band has currently announced 5 concert tour dates which will happen around the same time of the release of 'Angles'. The new record's lead single is most-likely to be named "Under Cover of Darkness".
Some of this information is still tentative, but very likely. More updates will be posted when further information is released from the band.

I have the highest expectations for this album. I hope that there are more than 10 songs too! And I think Rolling Stone magazine got access to (some of) their songs and rated this as their best album since their debut. I hope it is that way.
