^^^^Parenting by (good) example works too.

Some parents need to spend more time with their offspring and can introduce said offspring to music that they themselves enjoy.

Screaming that something sucks will not work and you need to explain why some music upsets you.

Give them a better choice (in music or anything else) and nuture them, take your kids to some concerts.

You can also listen to the rap music with your kids and point out what offends you and why this type of music, in you opinion, is not healthy.

How do you feel about "gangsta rap" page? I dont believe in censorship, but dang this crap needs to hit the road!! I realize the reality of gangs, and the horror stories of street life, but do we really need kids hearing this stuff on the radio, etc and thinking it is a glamorous life? Gangs don't come with bling and famous label clothes :lmao:

Yeah, I think some of the profanity in "gangsta rap" is a bit excessive. Seems like they do it to get a rise out of people, without actually saying anything. If there's a message, it's buried too deep...

The other thing about "gangsta rap" that amuses me is how these millionaire rappers with their bling, babes and Beemers are going off about how tough life is. Seems like life has worked out pretty well for these guys...

I have to agree about buried messages. I just dont like Censorship of any kind, but I believe some sort of guidelines needs to be set up.

Now a days you see clean versions and not so clean versions....I like this option, personally.
