FOREIGNER, STYX AND KANSAS TO TOUR
This news is brought to you by VH1 Radio's Dave Basner

Foreigner and Styx will hit the road this summer for a co-headlining tour that features special guest Kansas. If that weren’t enough, a limited number of tickets will cost as little as ten dollars in some markets. The trek, which is called the United in Rock Tour, kicks off in May but so far, only a few dates have been announced. The bands are expected to hit most major cities. Keep your eye on LiveNation.com for more details.

* Together, the three groups are responsible for over 100-million album sales.
* Of the trek, Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones said, “Super line up, amazing songs, can’t wait, let’s rock.”
* RELATED AUDIO: Mick Jones spoke to us about how the crowds at their shows react to different types of Foreigner songs

I think if I attended this, my head would asplode. Unfortunately, I can't see them making the 12000 mile journey over here :wa: I'll just have to hope for a concert DVD of some sort...

...Looks like a great line-up of bands, but to me they are all missing some pretty big pieces. Kansas, I love this band one of my top 20 all time, but I stop at Vinyl Confessions and when Livgren left that is a Huge hole. Foreigner, like these guys a ton, but without Lou Gramm they just aren't as good. Styx, props to Tommy Shaw for carrying on and I like Gowan fine, but without JY and DD they are diluted as well.

Still all things considered and the reasonable ticket prices I wish them all the best of luck with the tour.

They just announced more dates.
One is at an amphitheater in my town and it's only about 5 miles from me.It is smaller than the amphitheater in Raleigh. This one seats about 5,000 while the big one is about 20,000.The lawn seats will be much closer

And JY is still in the band.

I have tickets fro the Baton Rouge show. I have seen Styx twice in the last two years, and they are very good. I also saw Kansas two years ago, and they were very good too. Peace and goodwill.

So, who is the "headliner" on this tour?

I don't know for sure but I suspect that it may be a situation where Styx and Foreigner take turns as headliner, with Kansas as opener. That's an educated guess.

I'm going to the 5/12 show.
