I don't think I have one Winger album in the collection...trying to think if I can remember any of their songs but am drawing a blank right now.

I'll be back and listen to a couple songs in here later when I have time.:cheers2

Kip Winger is a very talented composer, too. He has written a couple pieces for ballet........which he happens to be a fan of.

Get ready to be amazed!!!

Ghosts

That is sure a far cry from his 80's ballads and sleeze rock ;)

I enjoyed Winger back in the day. Metalheads & Grunge fans used to hate this band. I never understood why. This is a great track from the album Push

New music from these guys. The entire original lineup plus longtime member John Roth.

I bought all 3 or 4 Winger cds about 25 years ago along with one or two Kip Winger solo cds anyway I read about 10 years ago that Metallica use to rubbish this band all the time in the music media and then Wayne's World would do the same so consequently it became 'uncool' to like the band and apparently the bands record sales plummeted virtually overnight!!. I think the band was signed to Warner bros?.

First 3 albums were under Atlantic, so yeah, WB. Last 3 plus the upcoming release under Frontiers.

Personally I always liked the band and also owned the first 3 CD's at one point. The early stuff was kinda "poppy" on the hair metal scale, but they were clearly talented musicians.

I also did read a quote from Kip in possibly a Winger compilation cd about 25 years ago after some mention had been made about Kip's 'good looks' when Kip said something to the effect that "Maybe he should take "hammer and chisel to his face" to please his critics??.
