As a music critic of the highest calibre, I have a major problem with Bands that are overrated.
I get furious when the mainstream media call Queen the Greatest Rock Band of all Time.
Then the myth is perpetuated by all the morons that can't think for themselves.
Queen are a trash pop Band influenced by their *** singer.
Most of their songs don't even need Brian May's Guitar.
A very similar situation exists with RUSH.
In the 70's when I was a teenager still discovering Bands and genres, I either read, or heard on the grapevine, that there was a very good Canadian Band called RUSH.
So, I did some research and was extremely confused and disappointed with what I heard.
I thought, well, they sound like good musicians, it's just a shame they're wasting it on aimless and directionless rubbish.
RUSH are one of the major reasons for PUNK n NEW WAVE bursting onto the music scene and producing some of the best and most creative, intelligent music.
PUNK was a catalyst for major Bands like The Stones, Pink Floyd and Status Quo amongst others to push the boundaries to be more creative.
STAUS QUO are a trillion times better than RUSH.
STATUS QUO are exciting and exhilarating.
RUSH are dull and boring Prog rubbish.
THE *** PISTOLS changed the world for the better.
I've tried to hear something good about RUSH, yet they just have me reaching for my BTO DOUBLE Anthology or my WELD LIVE double album by NEIL YOUNG & CRAZY HORSE. LOVERBOY had two major Hit songs in Australia, which were awesome Rock songs a trillion times better RUSH.
I'm in Sydney, Australia and we have thousands of brilliant Bands that make RUSH look smaller than a very small dot.
The reason I despise overrated crap Bands is because I have exquisite taste in everything.
MOZART is very cool, and WAGNER is not.
Left - Wing political parties are decent, caring, social humanists and right-wing political parties are nasty fascists and anti-human.
Why do 'good' people vote for a nasty political party?
Why do people like crap Bands like RUSH & QUEEN?
Why do people like Rap n Hip Hop?
Why do women like bad men?
There's no accounting for bad taste.
