Fanny?. Yeah I vaguely remember hearing of them when they got some airplay on BBC radio in the UK back in 1971 or 1972.

Apparently Fanny were possibly the first all women rock band and reading about the band about 20 years ago it was stated by one of the women band members that they didn't know that in the UK the name 'Fanny' was a slang word for a female's private parts?.

I like Fanny I also like birtha, olivia flvaea dancer from American bandstand was their drummer

the just did 2 but they should of done 6 albums thru out the 70s.

Many will be familiar with the album Bugger Off..and some brave Beefheart covers. This Cheshire based band were active from late 1965..to roughly 2008 - given a few line up changes and stiffs!
Their rendition of a Them track.
Stack Waddy - Mystic Eyes.

This band kinda flirted with punk...and had traces of pub rock with his Nick Lowe connections. Seem to recall Mink De Ville had the same tag. Anyhow..some great albums from Graham Parker & The Rumour. ..even an apperance in This is 40 movie:
Graham Parker - Hey Lord Don't Ask Me Questions.

Hold Back The Night.

Discovering Japan.

STONE THE CROWS 1969-1973. A Scottish blues/rock band that featured Maggie Bell on vocals along with Les Harvey on electric guitar James Dewar on bass and Colin Allen on drums. Les Harvey was electrocuted on stage at a gig and died. Maggie Bell had a successful solo career during the rest of the 1970s and 1980s with James Dewar teaming up with Robin Trower during the rest of the 1970s but sadly died in 2002. Colin Allen joined the Dutch band Focus for one album appearing on there Hamburger Concerto album in 1974 and also appearing on a number of other artist's albums during the rest of the 1970s & 1980s.

Marseille, second album (dunno if they count as 'forgotten') - 'forgotten' as in, maybe didn't do as well as they might have done.... Went to Liverpool to see them play (1980ish) - would like to say it was brilliant, best night out ever - but it was cancelled!
