a lady i work with just sold me some used stuff cheap...a pair of bose 201s for 20 bucks, a 70s kenwood receiver kr-4400, and a technics amp from 80s su-700 for 10 bucks. I haven't hooked up the receiver or amp.

Deep Purple were THE highlight of the nite. Ritchie Blackmore was awesome...stunning. Every concievable electric guitar noise known to mankind came out of the amps that night...and he had the chops also...in spades. Flash w/substance.

A favorite of mine. Greatest British band to not "catch on" back in the day in USA...imo.
I'd heard of them way back in late 60s but never actually heard them until 1984. Found a cheap Pickwick Best Of cassette. I LOVED it! Have been a fan ever since.
