Interesting. I also grew up with lots of American influences on satellite television during my teenage years but it was mostly sitcoms, music, movies, TV shows etc... no sports. And even after living 8 to 9 years in the US and going to several baseball games, I never got into their sports much. I still watch mostly football and tennis and some cricket.

Hey, are you part-American by any chance? I'm only curious because I've seen you discussing American sports here as well as American southern rock of course. :D

Yeah, it's simply called "To Willie". :) Listening to Muchacho it only makes sense as that's who his vocals most resemble! :)

Honestly, for me it's my album of the year and hence may post it as a closer to my thread but almost want to post it before the thread really expires! LOL I bought most of his prior stuff but haven't had a chance to spin them. He actually has a Willie Nelson tribute album. You are right that Muchacho is pretty ambient folk but for me that may have been part of the appeal. I love it in "Song For Zula" which is my most played song last year. It's not for everyone though! :grinthumb

Sounds good man! I don't take those things personal. Sometimes people miss a comment out of timing and the most obvious reason is people get busy in real life. Thanks for getting back to me and we'll see if they are your thing. What was your impression of Phosphorescent? :)

Thanks man! I actually found one of his bands cds (Muscadine) in the used section at a FYE and picked it up! Pretty good stuff so far! :)
