    TL, I hear what you are saying. I find that i don't want to care.....but i do. Or maybe it is with some kind of morbid curiosity that i find a list like that fascinating. Either way, it isn't like sports where the band needs some type of Hall of Fame validation to put the final chapter on...

    Re: Billy Idol to an earlier post.....yeah cyberpunk was a miss, but i applaud his effort and what he was trying to do. I think in that era, he would have been labeled irrelevant with the Alt boom anyway so maybe he was neither worse nor better off in this direction than staying the course...

    Agreed, Grendel it is hard to take the Hall seriously with some of the omissions. Voted yes for Tull, Alice and Purple. Probably more later.

    Linda Ronstadt (Offiicial Thread)

    Re: Linda Ronstadt i was never a huge fan of Linda's but i respect her very much. In her heyday it felt like she was rescuing old classics and making them relevant again. Having said that, i guess always preferred my female rockers with a bit of edge, and i never felt i got that from Linda.

    Not that they were ever rated high.....but i am going to go with Poison. I never understood their appeal.
