    Queen (Official Thread)

News of the World is one of my favorite records. I wrote a little thing about it, at the link in my signature. I love that it has so many styles, features so many of the band members' talents, yet it still always sounds like Queen. They're a band like no other. ERM

    The War on Drugs

I saw this band (The War on Drugs) at a music festival this weekend. They are great! Guitar, nice keyboards. Actual guitar solos! Another great act on the bill was White Denim. Double guitar attack, with odd time signatures.

    Acoustic songs of the 70's

"Home Again," by Batdorf and Rodney. A kind of rockin' acoustic song, but acoustic nonetheless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDYVVJoYxIA

What Did You Listen To In The 80's?

I was MISSING all the great new stuff that was around, like The Replacements and Husker Du, while desperately trying to convince myself that the latest records by Yes (Big Generator), CSN&Y (American Dream), and Jefferson Airplane (Jefferson Airplane) were on par with their earlier material...

    Hello, all

Hi! I'm a fan of rock music. Broad range of tastes, but Beatles, Elvis Costello, REM and Replacements are in the sweet spot for me. Also a big fan of Rush, Yes, Nirvana, Lucinda Williams, The Who ... and pretty much anything else on Rock Radio back in the 70s and 80s. Erm2020
