i had to be talked into going to see these guys. they don't make it out of the east coast often, because some of them play with late night bands and have to be on the air regularly (letterman, jimmy kimmel). but they did their first west coast gig last november at the HOB and i was blown away...- deezee

I posted this in the 70's section also...
sorry to say that once it's been played once it's probably considered "near mint" not "mint" condition. the reality is that the albums that have the most value are the ones that sold the least. if that album sold a few million copies (which of course it did) it's worth what billtjr51 has posted...- deezee

Re: leon russell fans? i was at the early show of this concert and you are absolutely right! it wasn't easy to steal the show from a surprise performance by a "just returned to the stage after 5 years" bob dylan and george and eric trading guitar riffs. but IMHO leon did just that.- deezee

Ever go to a concert "blind"?
i'll have to agree with billtjr51 on this one. i did this almost on a weekly basis in the 60's. i grew up a few blocks from from the fillmore east and tons of other venues. back then most of them were bars and coffee houses before the fillmore opened so i guess it doesn't fit your category of...- deezee

for whatever reason i always associate leon with elton john. why? because they both hit at around the same time as solo artists.both were piano men.elton's first release was "your song" and leon's first solo release (at least on the east coast) was "a song for you". it was sometimes confusing...- deezee
