Yepp, Quiet Riot definitely opened the doors to make Glam popular....and I am personally glad they did. I am a Glam junkie :D

Re: Quiet Riot ~ Metal Health (1983)

Quiet Riot was my favorite 80's rock group, even above Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses, who I was also a big fan of. Thus I am very fond of this record, the review and the reviewer, heh heh! :D

I was a big enough fan to have some Quiet Riot merchandise, probably a dozen bootlegged shows and their complete catalog of albums including the harder-to-find studio albums that they did in the early to mid 1990's which most casual listeners don't even know exist.

I know these guys' catalog like the back of my hand. Some of it is uneven in places, the stuff after Metal Health anyway, but I just plain loved these guys from the moment I heard them.

Bang Your Head(Mental Health) is my favorite song by them. DuBrow had a strong rockin' voice and Cavazo was a mean guitar player. Underrated band...

this is the only QR that I like, mainly for nostalgia reasons. It probably isnt as good as most people think it is, even myself, but I dig it.

Watching those clips sure brought back some memories. I had this tape (lol) and played it to death.

This is the metal album that started it all! You couldn't turn on MTV back in the day, without seeing one of the QR videos on there! I remember rocking out like everyday for months, and it stands the test of time! Essential to any metalheads collection! \m/ \m/

So true!

If you dig around on YouTube, you can find some really early vids of Randy Rhoads. :)
