Recently started getting into him. Was going to post in the blues section but he's more than a blues player. Great blues, funk player and multi-insturmentalist. Came up in the late '60's and can best be described as psychedelic soul. Should have been bigger.

Shuggie did a track called Taildragger which is on a guitar legends album, does anyone know if it features on any of his albums ?

I did a quick look at his discography and don't see that song anywhere Sox, not even on his compilation albums...:dunno:

I think you are spot on Sox...wouldn't be the first time a great song was not on the regular studio albums.

I was really surprised he was the author of Strawberry Letter 23,,,I have two Brothers Johnson albums and always Assumed it was their song...:bonk:

I didn't know that either LG but I am aware that in the higher archy Shuggie is respected. I was reading that Ritchie Blackmore had a phase were he devoted a lot of time listening to Shuggie.
