Official Ritchie Blackmore & Blackmore's Night Website

Though we know Ritchie as our heavy axe slinger/songwriter in Deep Purple and Rainbow...what are your opinions on he and Candice's band Blackmore's Night for the last 10 + years together?

With their almost celtic, yet folk & renaissance flavored music...I think they're awesome and though some wish he would return to form with Purple (which would be cool) I would like to see this band continue for yet another 10 yaers if they can.

Albums

Shadow of the Moon (1997)
Under a Violet Moon (1999)
Fires at Midnight (2001)
Ghost of a Rose (2003)
The Village Lanterne (2006)
Winter Carols (2006) - Christmas-themed holiday album
Secret Voyage (2008)
Autumn Sky (2010)

Re: Blackmore's Night

Well, some years ago I was dragged to a BN's gig in Rome, Italy. I went and I must say I was skeptic at first but I had to re-rate Ritchie and the band after watching a hellofa show with Candice Night at her top.......and yes, it was funny seeing Ritchie play the dulcimer :):), but during the encore, he DID do Black Night......very nice gig after all:):)

Been pondering over this band for a while I have heard some samples and they sound good. Not sure which to get.

Re: Blackmore's Night

I've tried getting into BN, but I just can't do it. I've listened to various tunes from multiple albums a few times and it just doesn't grab me. Maybe I need to wait about 10 years and then go back and revisit it.

It`ll do for me I will invest asap:cheers: as expected the guitar is spot on and the vocals are sound. The rest of the band have got to be on the ball or I guess Ritchie wouldn`t use them.
