Rod Stewart has just signed with a new record label, and he’s kicking off their new partnership by remaking one of the most divisive songs of his long career.

To mark his new home with Republic Records, Stewart has teamed up with DNCE — the group spearheaded by former Jonas Brother Joe Jonas — for a new take on “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?,” a No. 1 hit from 1979 that many fans consider Stewart’s final blow against his rock ‘n’ roll past.

The full song won’t be unleashed until Aug. 25, but you can check out a 15-second preview of the track above … if you dare.

“Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” — the lead track on Stewart’s 1979 album Blondes Have More Fun — arrived just as disco reached its peak around the globe. There was plenty of backlash from rock fans, even as some of the genre’s biggest artists — including the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Kissjumped into the moneymaking sound.

Stewart was the classic rocker who had the biggest hit — it stayed at No. 1 for four weeks — which made him, and “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?,” the largest target. But he’s always defended the song, and all these years later it remains one of his best-known and most popular cuts … as well as a regular target of disco-hating music fans.

His new version updates the song for a new generation with DNCE, which Jonas formed a couple years ago. Their self-titled debut album debuted in the Top 20 last year. Stewart’s latest album, Another Country, was released in 2015. There’s no word on when his new record is due or even if this new version of “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” will be part of it.

Stewart and DNCE are scheduled to perform the song on the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 27.

The proverbial elephant in the proverbial room with the Rodster has always been "how to you go from fronting a cool band like the faces to this sort of stuff?"

It was the Disco era. Ridiculous as it was, even KISS went with the flow.

Really?!
Disco Kiss?
I'm intrigued.
It sounds hilarious

Disco Stones was almost too much to bear.
Luckily Keef still had some input.

Dynasty was mostly Disco, and Unmasked was a little bit.
