Kudos to a few picks up there that speaks of greatness for one,
and the other a sober reminder of what a tragedy it is to lose
another.

@recgord27, thanks for the Neil spin that renders
me helpless to hide the pleasure of my smile... a
historical album.

God bless you Neil Young...

And @Riff Raff, thanks for the SoundGarden, just to remind me what
a great performer Chris Cornell was. While not a fan, it wasn't because I didn't
like, just didn't get a chance to listen to them a lot. But his music has
been around for awhile and I remember his start, watched him grow.
He was one of a kind, reminding me a little of Jim Morrison, capturing the
shaman soul of the Doors frontman, in a spiritual sense.

God Bless You and RIP Chris Cornell...

I've seen this one posted a few times lately. What is it about TYA that
made them so great, makes them so great many years later? Putting
A Space In Time on in a gorgeous 5.1 mix reminds me wholly of
why they remain relevant. It just sounds incredible. When I listen to
Cricklwood Green I think it is my favorite, same for this one, and
then Rock and Roll Music to the World has me guessing again which is the
best. The recording and mix of ASIT is nothing short of astonishing, I've
listened to it for over 45 years: the detail, texture, embellishments, separation.
Gotta listen intently to believe it. Different band altogether, but it had the
imagination production-wise, of a Beatles, Steely Dan, Elton John, Led Zep
record. Live, they mattered too. I saw Alvin Lee bring down the coliseum house
in '73 with the nosebleed section shaking up a storm... still remember it well.

@Riff Raff have already played Badmotorfinger and Ultrameg OK so far . Still on my list to play my King Animal , Superunknown and Down On The Upside CDs when I'm able to find them plus Louder Than Love and up next Temple Of The Dog.

About to listen to some of Cornell's solo stuff myself. Dig all of his Audioslave and Soundgarden material.

Somewhat overwhelming to go straight through the whole Soundgarden discography so time to break it up with a bit of Nothing.......
