And on to Iron Butterfly from Metamorphosis-New Day
Kudos to one of IB's best studio albums, solid throughout.
Two players were brought in for this to help the band head in a
different direction. Later they moved on to form Captain Beyond.
Rhino was the guitarist, bassist Lee Dorman that played on both.
On a side note Rod Evans from Deep Purple and the drummer from
Johnny Winter And played drums for Capt Beyond to fill out the band,
a massive performance from all too. There are many similarities
between Metamorphosis and CB's first lp.
It's a shame that Doug Ingle left Iron Butterfly before Metamorphosis was released, I always thought the addition of Pinera and Rhino was the shot in the arm the butterfly needed, and that Erik Braunn was holding them back.
