me, I'm gonna start with the first Spirit album.
hopefully the graphic I've chosen has not blown your mind and you are still able to read this.

here goes.
I think they have a really solid body of work, I really do.
I just don't think they ever topped the great combination of jazz and psychedelic rock sensibilities on that first album.
Maybe cause the Hammond is real up front.
maybe it's just that I like the tunes so much.
Spirit albums are chock full of good tunes, I guess I just think this one "hangs together" better.
I love it, front to back.
I turn it over and listen to it again when it's over.
I think it's a HECK of an album.

Yep, for me it would be Boston. Boston's first album was awesome. One of the best albums of all time even. Then everything else that followed was pretty much the same old thing and they got BORING.

Still think the first album is awesome but I can live without all the rest of their catalog.

It's a great album. I would have agreed in 1970. But I now think Dr. Sardonicus holds up better. Am I getting old?

not at all!
I think most Sprit fans would single out Sardonicus.
I just like the mix of styles better on the debut.

most critics call it 'unfocused'
I guess it's something I like.
refer to my arguments in the 'Serious Discussion' forum and I'm sure you'll agree!
