After you heard them once if you hear them again you immediately recongnize their voice if you hear it again. They have to not sound nothing like anyone else.

I often get the feeling that many of the female singers are less distinctive, but Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin could both fit in there. But I'll stick with my list, as they are the one's I'll recognize instantaneously

Nothing against female singers, but none that I really listen to are distinctive enough for my list
