Does anyone remember The Godz, not the New York band from the "60's", but the Columbus, Ohio "biker" band from the "70's"!

Formed in 1976, the band conceived the band name only to later learn of a band from New York City already known as The Godz. A monetary settlement allowed them to keep their name. The Godz opened for Kiss alongside Cheap Trick in 1977. The band released its first, eponymous, album the next year on Millennium Records. In addition to being on the Love Gun Tour, they toured on what was billed the Heaven and Hell Tour by embarking on the road with Angel. Their second album, Nothing is Sacred, appeared on Casablanca Records a year later.
Whatever the group's merits, The Godz went unappreciated by rock critics; the 1983 Rolling Stone Record Guide described them as a "Miserable hard-rock quartet from Columbus, Ohio, epitomiz[ing] the most wretched excesses of Seventies rock," and rated both their first two albums as "Worthless". As of 2006 The Godz remain extant, comprosing Eric Moore on vocals and guitar, Nikki Storm on lead guitar, Bub Adams on bass guitar, and Screaming D on drums.
The original lineup, Eric Moore, Mark Chatfield, Glen Cataline, Bob Hill.

I would suggest the first two albums, The Godz [1978], and Nothing Sacred [1979] I have seen Mongolians on E-bay for $300. I did buy Eric Moore and The Godz: 25 Moore Years, 1978-2003-A Retrospective [2003] $25.

Havn't heard of them till now and I like em.. Great Rockin band!! Thanks for bringing them up CLASIK.. I'll be on the lookout for any of their stuff next time I'm out buying music..

I have both The Godz and Nothing Sacred. In fact, I just bought a pre-Godz promo album with Eric Moore playing bass with a group called the Capital City Rockers.

I remeber back in the 70's they were in all my rock magazines. Alot of press for this album!!

Strike that, the band was called the Capital City ROCKETS. I don't know much about the band besides the fact that they released one album on the Elektra label with Eric Moore playing bass in 1973.
