Marc Gormley may not be a familiar name now but in the mid 2,000's this Floridian caught the world by storm. It wasn't until 2006 that the Gorm storm took off but few may know that Gormley had been writing since the 70's and recording in the 80's. Gorms influences came from that era in the 70's and I think few would argue that Gorm should not be standing among the giants he considered influences. Those influences include Zeppelin, Dylan and Hendrix among others. Even though not listed it's obvious that Geddy Lee would be insanely envious of Gorm's vocal prowess.

Gormley may have started late partially due to his military service during what could've been his prime years. Gormley did not let this stop him though and never gave up on his dream. When Gormley picked his acoustic guitar back up and took out his songbook he came back with a sound that both matched the legendary period of the 70's and was also ahead of it's time. Gormley knew that he needed to do something revolutionary to make him stand out. He wasn't a young man anymore and he looked liked a cross between The Simpson's Flanders and pre-Heisenberg Walter White.

Gormley put his nose to the grindstone and developed a series of revolutionary videos with visual ideas that would've fit with the golden age of 80's videos. Also, Gormley took a risk and laid down the guitar in order to perform a set of dance moves that would endear him to the modern audiences who like their artist to be showman and multi-talented. This was a change akin to Dylan going electric and may have lost Gormley's original fans but at the same time developed him a new and more rabid following. What I considered to be the Gormley shuffle, but is largely called the Gormley power stance is as enigmatic a move as anything Justin Timberlake has ever added to his arsenal. I'll never forget the first time I saw Gormley shift his weight from one side to the next and create the perfect angular stance.

Gormley shopped his videos to local access Florida channel The Uncharted Zone and had a working relationship with them like no other. The modern day Wolfman Jack, Phil Thomas Katt, became the amazing seductive voice for introducing Gormley to the world. Katt had the unthusiasm for this future cash cow as he had an ear and eye for greatness. He knew Gormley had that X-factor not only as an artist, performer and musician. He knew there was money in his charisma. Guys would want to be him and the ladies would swarm towards the Gorm. It was a lock. He also showed the transformation of Walter White to Heisenberg when he called Marc Gormley's video for "Without You" very, very intense.

What resulted was a legendary series of videos that showcased Gormley. Revolutionary special effects showed that Gormley could be anywhere in the world. Gormley could survive deserts, the polar ice caps, the ocean, swarms of butterflies and space itself to bring you his brand of rock. Throw any shit at Gormley and he would simply scoff at you, change his stance and raise his eyebrows at you.

Mark was the master of shifting angles as Marc could keep singing flawlessly even as he tilted iconically like the leaning tower of Pisa. Here he's compared to Superman! Well, the superman rollercoaster! :heheh:

It just showed Marc's focus. A focus he showed as he confidently stares at you the viewer straight ahead with the best posture ever seen in a music video. Marc also showcased his acoustic playing in "Gray Days" again creating the modern "Stairway To Heaven" for our generation. He also showcased the whistle in "Little Wings" Where does this guy stop! He doesn't! It's 2014 and he plans on releasing another album to the masses. You may not know Marc Gormley yet but you will and you shall join the masses. Not since Cobain has a man showed this much potential to change a generation. Marc Gormley, the unsungliest of the unsung is hear to cement his place in music history! :grinthumb

Holy shit! I just found this nine minute opus! What the shit! This is the biggest mindf*** since Floyd! Power stance, jump cut, jump cut, jump cut, GUITAR solo, Geddy vocal smackdown, self aware eyebrow raising stare, trippy ass floaty Gormley, random video flashback of monotone gal, space Gormley, trilly fade out! What! o_O :D
