Good to see The Animals finally has it's own Official Thread.
I've collected many CDs and have numerous compilation albums, my most recent compilation album being The Complete Animals with the cover art from their "Animal Tracks" album which has made one of my earlier Animals CDs (called "The Most Of The Animals") redundant by having all the Mickie Most Production songs over 2 CDs. But that's what you get when you find something for a basement price, it's marked at $9.99, though I believe I got it for around $7.
For a long time I've had 2 compilation albums called "The Most Of The Animals" from different record companies, my first one was EMI and was when I first started buying CDs back in the early 90s which has their earlier Mickie Most Produced songs, my second Animals compilation album "The Essential Eric Burdon and the Animals A Decade of Rock Blues" seems to include their later songs from the 60s, shortly after that I brought the other "Most of the Animals" from Raven Records because there seemed to be a gap between my first and second CD, that CD seems to include a broad range from their early days (1964?) to 1968 I think, that CD came out earlier (1989) compared to the EMI one which came out in 1993. After that I didn't get any Animals for a while. I'm not sure what was my next Animals CD, I think it was a CD I brought really cheap for $4 called "The Great Animals Live!" which has a really early performance The Animals did 30th December 1963 - so will be 50 years old tomorrow
The quality of the recording I think is actually very good for the age of it even though I haven't played it in a while, though I just remember it sounding better than "The Five Live Yardbirds" the tracks on it are:

The CD also includes some Bonus tracks with The Animals & Sonny Boy Williamson, I'm not sure when those were recorded.

After I got that album, I finally brought a Studio album which my most expensive Animals CD which was the last Animals album "Love Is" from the 60s featuring Andy Summers, the interesting thing about it though was the band was titled "Eric Burdon & The New Animals", though it simply only has "Eric Burdon & The Animals" on the cover. After that album I brought the Complete Animals cause it was going out cheap (as I mentioned earlier).
So I guess that qualifies me as being an Animals nut?
