Always though "Hero of The Day" was a brilliant classic and I thought with most of the songs they were even better with the orchestra! S&M was the first Metallica album I bought!

Plus, I said this when it first came out and I'll say this again! I thought Junior Dad was an awesome hypnotic track! Old rambling vocals aren't a bad thing. I think of it in the same way I think of a lot of older vocalist. You are hearing an old sage of sorts and it just sounds like a mantra from a wiser source. I don't get a bad vibe from the cracked and worn vocals anymore than I did with late Johnny Cash. I actually prefer it!

Again Metallica isn't even in my top twenty bands but I definitely know what I like!

Oh definitely! It's awesome when a band can transcend there heavy roots to put out some of the most respected hard rock ballads and Metal opuses in existence! These songs are untouchable!
Thanks for posting Nothing Else Matters, Sooty. What an awesome song with beautiful lyrics. I really like the video too because it shows a very human side of them. I have to admit, I really like where they are shooting pool since I shoot pool. I'm certainly seeing and hearing a side of this band I never knew before.
