If you ever see this, get it, seriously, heres a taste of the album.

PS: Lyrics are abit vulgar :peek

Oh, if you've not heard of Prodigy, you should know this song :)

To me this song was literally the anthem of the 90s and everything it stood for, hardcoreness.

But they also have lots of other good songs not on Fat of the Land, here is another good song called Warriors Dance.

Theres afew other good ones, but these are the best.

What do you guys think?

Re: The Prodigy - Thread

I remember listening to Firestarter a lot as a kid, haven't heard Prodigy much recently.

Re: The Prodigy - Thread

When I was in college, The Prodigy had some of the most cutting edge techno/big beat sounds going. When they started incorporating "vocals" I kinda shyed off.

Charley (Alley Cat Mix)

Jericho (Genaside II remix)

Instruments Of Darkness (Art of Noise) Prodigy remix

G-Force (Energy Flow)

I absolutely freaking adore 1997's The Fat of the Land!... every second of it! But funnily enough I never explored their catalogue further than that album... that is, until yesterday, when I downloaded both the Prodigy Experience (debut) and Music for the Jilted Generation. Of course I knew a few hits from both albums like Out Of Space and One Love. But I had not heard those entire albums.

Listened to the Prodigy Experience on the way to work this morning and boy, is it ****ing kickass or what?!!! It was a dreary and rainy commute this morning but it did not bother me one bit because this album kicked my ass to the point of no return! :D Goddamn I love the early 90s!

Will listen to Jilted Generation in a day or two.

Holy shit!........... Music For The Jilted Generation is even better than Experience. I wish I had discovered these records much earlier. Ain't that always the case?!

That album was my introduction to the band back in the '90s. One of my sons bought it for me (probably trying to move me forward with my music :heheh:). I loved it. But I have to say, even though some think it has a more commercial feel, 'The Fat of the Land' is my personal favourite, and a truly great album imo.

The Fat Of The Land really is fantastic and consistent as heck from start to finish. It remains my favourite Prodigy album overall. But goddamn... those first 2 albums are absolutely brilliant! I love how each has its own flavour. The Prodigy Experience is an extremely fun collection of high speed tracks. Jilted Generation is serious techno with epic songs. And Fat of the Land is just perfect in every way. It is more song-oriented though, more conventional with lots of lyrics.
