Miley Cyrus Smokes Joint Onstage During MTV EMAs

Miley Cyrus continued her streak of controversial performances by smoking marijuana on stage during the MTV European Music Awards at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome over the weekend. While accepting the award for Video of the Year, Miley pulled a joint from her purse and lit it up.

"I couldn't fit this award in my bag, but I did find this," she said. "So thank you guys very much. Goodnight everybody. Thank you." Pot use is legal in the country.

Good for her, it's perfectly legal out there, in fact she could also incidentally have legally done the exact same thing on stage (or anywhere else she choses for that matter) in both Colorado and Washington State. In 20 years time I reckon we'll look back on this and laugh about the days when weed was illegal, and how it cost us taxpayers billions of $ to both police it and to enforce it.

I'm more shocked that she won an award for any of her videos....especially if it was "Wrecking Ball".

I do still find her pretty though. Less than I used to but still....guilty pleasure attraction (or something).

I agree with the sentiments about how idiotic and counterproductive laws against a plant are. However, the fact that this particular saccharine 'act of defiance' was done as a pattern of shameless self promotion is just sad.

Personally I don't mind marijuana (I've never tried it but I know a decent bit.)
I think if you like it, you should be allowed to use it . If you don't like it then you don't do it, plain and simple. So tired of all this debating and arguing over it in the world . Now as for Miley Cyrus... I think her new song "Wrecking Ball" is a whole lot better than Party In The USA, I am not at all saying Wrecking Ball is a fantastic song just that it is decent. Party In The USA, I found it a bit annoying almost "too catchy" I want to say . I am interested to see what the future has in store for her.
