What songs that haven't already been contested legally are just so similar that you thought of the other song the second you heard the other song? Please post vids of both songs so others can judge for themselves!

My pick is Five Finger Death Punch's single The Bleeding! The first time I heard the opening I thought, "This sounds like So Cold from Breaking Benjamin! They aren't mirror images or anything but see if you can hear where I got the similarity from! :grinthumb

Five Finger Death Punch-The Bleeding

Breaking Benjamin-So Cold

Just an aside, using every Nickelback song sounds like the other is funny but a cop out for finding a good one! Don't use it! :lmao:

"Shock Me"- Kiss

"Lit Up"- Buckcherry

I like the Buckinghams but most of their songs sound too much alike.

Actually, some of their songs are in fact quite different to others. They still suck hard though.

One I picked up on recently, although the singers are completely different, they kind of have the same vibe:

Paul Revere & the Raiders released a single in the late sixties whose opening chords sounded like such an exact copy of "Paperback Writer" by the Beatles that I was always disappointed that it wasn't "Paperback Writer" I was going to hear.

If you pull back and look at all this with a historical perspective you would find that almost every note has been written by the great composers 100's of years ago. I think if you put all the music they created into a database then entered any song from the last 100 years you would find some pretty close matches. Music is like fashion in that sense, if you live long enough you will see things come and go and when they reappear everyone thinks it's something brand new.

Nice thread Bry! ;)
