I must be a bit of a philistine because I find Beethoven a bit heavy going :peek

Someone of today's musicians (can't remember exactly who) said: "If only Beethoven had lived in the 20th century, then namely he would have written "Hells Bells". That explains a lot. :D

Not an opera buff so Verdi isn't one of my favorites, but he has left some memorable music behind that has stood the test of time.

Beethoven is my favorite, Mozart I find...nice but bland by comparison. Ludwig is fire and brimstone and shook the foundations of classical music in his day.:mn:
