Second album of Jethro Tull released in 1969. A big improvement over their first release. What happened? Well, Martin Barre happened. He makes a big diference with innovative and clever guitar playing.

First winner so far - A Song For Jeffrey

So, what song do you think is the best of this album?

The whole album cooks, but "Nothing Is Easy" for me one of Tull's best songs period.

Nothing Is Easy, Tony Iommi made a contribution to this song during his Tull days. Great track as well as Bouree, but We Used To Know is my favourite.

So, what do you all of you think about For a Thousand Mothers? Peculiar song, intriguing to say the least, isn't it?

I have this LP on mint condition vinyl with the original gatefold pop-up cover. Not only is it my favorite album by the band, it is also one of those albums that take you back to a particular time and place.
Without a doubt, my favorite songs are A New Day Yesterday and Nothing Is Easy.

I managed to get an excellent vinyl copy of this one a month ago Chevelle.:grinthumb

Doesn't have the pop-up cover though.

MP I see you have good taste, "Nothing is Easy" I just love the drums on that song, not sure if it was Clive or Barriemore back then but doesn't matter both are excellent skin tappers.:drums:
