Hysteria is Def Leppard's 4th album and best selling album to date. This album took many years to put together, partially due to drummer Rick Allen's car accident that cost him his arm. Rick actually named this album himself, using his experience with his accident.
The album is full of in your face hard rock and strong ballads. You run through a number of feelings from wanting someone you can't have to just wanting to rock out and play air guitar infront of an invisible audience. Def Leppard makes you feel what they are saying and you connect to the music. Joe Elliott's voice pulls you in and keeps you in.
Producer Mutt Lange had Hysteria in mind to be the rock version of Thriller, with every song being a hit. He spent months mixing the songs to get the right formula he was looking for. They also accompanied their singles with visually appealing videos (for the ladies and men with good taste, at least, amirite Joe Elliott? <3 )
Every song on this album bring something to the table, mixing seriousness with carefree. It's a fantastic ride from start to finish and a must have album for any rock fan who appreciates a true rock album. It's smooth, it's rough, it's tough, it RULES.
Hysteria is currently ranked as #51 on the list of best selling albums of all time (US).

10/10, no question about it. I love every second of this album and no matter how many times I listen to it, it never gets boring. My favourite Def Leppard album ever.
