I remember back in the late 80s (maybe early 90's) when a few friends and I decided to start a 'band' (believe me, I use that term very weakly :heheh:), Fantasy was one of the songs we probably jammed to more than any other. two guitarists, a keyboard player and a drummer that couldn't hardly keep a beat if his life depended on it.

But after a bottle and a half (or more) of Captain Morgan, we were ****ing STARS!

Anyway, Fantasy was one of our signature songs and one of the few that we could actually play all the way through.

Aldo Nova's self title debut album is on my short list of what I consider flawless albums. There's not a track on that record that I don't like. While not quite as good, the follow up is pretty darn good too.

For those that may not know, Aldo Nova played guitar on the original Bon Jovi self-titled debut album

Listen to the opening to Breakout(Bon Jovi) and the opening to Hold Back The Night(Subject) the guitar and bass parts are almost identical.

Wow , I thought I was the only one who liked Aldo Nova..PURE 80's if ever there was any ..good stuff !!

Twitch is one of the ultimate summertime 80s albums imo.

I agree with you about his debut, but never picked up his sophomore effort...:hm:

He was in Blue Oyster Cult for a while, after the band went through a series of changes.

Bon Jovi actually managed Aldo Nova at one time. I've only had one album from him and imho only fantasy and under the gun were worth listening to. Bon Jovi on the other hand while starting out a lot like Aldo Nova style wise had better written songs and better musicianship along with being able to grow as an artist over the years.
