You are right Bucky definitely a heavy song, almost growling background vocals in fact. I don't have any Lita Ford CD's, maybe I'll check this new release out.

The backing vocals are her husband Jim Gillette(formerly of Nitro believe it or not!)& they work together throughout the whole album.

Wow, that is heavy. I like it, but I can only take so much music with that intensity level. But if that's just the single, maybe the rest of the album is toned down a bit.

Makes her stuff from the 80's sound like The Partridge Family by comparison.

Depends on my mood KMET, some nights it suits me to play all out heavy music, the next night Beethoven stops by for a visit to play some exquisite piano sonatas...:D

No Yanni though, right? :D

I love loud, hard rock & roll for hours on end, too... but today's metal is pretty extreme.

I love bands like Lacuna Coil, Rev Theory and Fireball Ministry, but only in one-hour doses. Even Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin and Crossfade have a time limit with me.

But stuff like Van Halen and The Scorpions I can listen to all day!

I agree about the black/death/doom stuff, I don't listen to many of those bands at all. Some of my metal is pretty much just hard rock with double pedal, and about once every week or so I have a couple of pops and play a few of my favorites. I usually finish with a mellow album to wind down afterwards though.:grinthumb

You know... after some thought... whether it is 80's rock/metal or today's rock/metal... as long as there is some semblance of rythym, a nice tempo/groove and they make an attempt to sing to me, it's all good. I really don't care for vocalists who yell at me. But I'll still check out Lita's new album. But until then, here's some Lacuna Coil...

Bucky, do you have any other of Lita's albums? If so tell us about them, I don't know anything about her, except in passing.
