STP have not released a bad album imo. They had a lot of criticism for sounding like your stereotypical grunge band when they first started out but they seemed to get more creative as time went on.

Scott Weiland's definitely a throwback to the Mick Jagger/David Bowie era when frontmen had charisma. So much more interesting than Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell et al.

In fact I remember seeing these guys on MTV for the first time and Scott looking so hard core. By the second video, I was like, "Who's that guy?"

:heheh:

I think Core was good, but it contained lots of fillers.

I don't think it did. Sounded to me like every song served a good purpose on the album. To each their own though.
I think if any did, No 4 probably did.
Self titled from 2010 had maybe one or two tracks that were pretty average but that was a pretty good album too.
Have yet to hear Tiny Music or any of the other often criticised albums.

I beg to differ. I think they both had charisma.
Also kinda depends on what you consider interesting.

Lol At the replacement singer being from Linkin Park. I don't see future albums being something I will be keen on.

Anyway I listened to Shangri-la dee da and its not bad but it definitely doesn't come close to Core and Purple.
