A 2011 release I had been eager for last year for months prior. From start to finish this album for me definitely delivered and lived up to expectations.

The opening song Sudden Death has a fairly simplistic structure in guitar work but the chugging riffs that carry the verses into the chorus for me were really well done. This song was slightly re-done from the Guitar Hero release of the same song.

Public Enemy No. 1 opens with a riff that reminds me of an Ac/dc type guitar riff. Full of energy this song too. Nice flow to it, really has good lyrics and I love Broderick's solo on this. Great song.

Whose Life? Starts with a fairly repetitious riff that goes right through to the bridge towards the chorus but it to me is enjoyable, not the sort of repetitive nature that is sleep inducing lol

Carrying into songs like We The People which talk about very controversial things such as the Illuminati. Many may call Dave nuts for his views but I think he has got real balls and nerve to be able to add songs of that nature to his album. Glad to see musicians willing to be outspoken regarding politics. The song itself is a good piece.

Guns, Drugs & Money is another great song, love the bass that is actually audible on not just this but most Megadeth albums which is awesome.

Never Dead has quite a build up before it kicks in to some fantastic hard rock driven riffs, the vocals and everything work well on this song. One of my favourite songs on the album.

New World Order is another song I think Dave had real balls to write back in the 90s. This was a reworked demo that appeared on Youthanasia. Glad it did get done, this was a song that deserved to make an album, great lyrics, the melody on it is awesome leading up to the solo that drives the song home.

Fast Lane is another song that talks about cars much like 502, Moto Psycho, 1320. Again a great song. Broderick plays some riffs in the pattern of a car engine firing up too which I thought was pretty cool. Love this track, a favourite like Never Dead.

Black Swan was a rework of the same song in United Abominations sessions. I like the song but it doesn't sit in my favourites, I don't play this one as much as some of the others. It is a good song though.

Wrecker starts with breakdowns at the beginning, more great song writing from the boys.

Millennium of the Blind is another reworked song but from 1991 but appeared as a demo on Youthanasia. Nice melody at the start, glad they decided to rework these songs. They deserved an album.

Deadly Nightshade is my favourite song on the album. Another of their heavier stuff on the album. More great musicianship on this one. Reminds me of some of their work on Endgame as did a song like Never Dead.

13 is a nice ballad to finish off the album. Megadeth have written numerous under rated ballads that go unnoticed. This one stands out for me, has a darker tone that reminds me of In My Darkest Hour.

Album gets a 8-9 out of 10 from me. It is a very accessible album for the people who like to hear a hit from the radio, people who like thrash and people who enjoy their hard rock as well.

Some of my favourites.
Never Dead

Deadly Nightshade

Fast Lane

Cheers bro. Some people think the mix was too sterile as far as producing goes but I enjoy the clean sounding album. Mustaine seems to have a growlish tone more to his vocals.

I've got Endgame which I like a lot. For some reasons I never got to play this one. Think that's a mistake. The songs you put up are great. Well written review RR. :grinthumb

Nice job, Riff Raff! Another excellent Megadeth writeup!

I've only gotten around to listening to this CD once or twice since I bought it but I do like it so far. I will be getting it out again soon. I'm going through all the Megadeth CD's since I decided to go see them again next month. :D
