I first found Paul Westerberg of the Replacements on a Fat Possum Compilation called "Not the Same Old Blues Crap 3" he was listed as Grandpaboy and his song was "Vampires & Failures" which prompted me to seek out his "Dead Man Shake" CD which I really like and was listening to earlier this evening.

I then asked on another forum which album to check out first and "Pleased to Meet Me" and "Tim" were the two most recommended .. I found "Pleased to Meet Me" in one of our local used records shops and really enjoy it. I still have to check out "Tim" at some point.

My "want list" keeps growing.

One of the most pivotal and underappreciated bands of the era. They were the punk rock Stones. Westerberg also was and is now a great lyricist.
