^^Damn The Torpedoes is my all time favorite TP and the Heartbreakers album.:grinthumb

Flower I like early Aerosmith,,,but I am not a big fan of their new material either.

Damn the Torpedoes will definately be one of them, and who does really like Aerosmith's newer stuff, Honkin' on Bobo is a pretty cool album but its all covers so I don't know if it counts haha

I never get tired of Train Kept a Rollin by Aerosmith(I don't think there has ever been a tour they didn't perform it) & it was Aerosmith's version that got me into the tune back in the 70's. Now I have over 20 versions of it by artists such as: Motorhead,Hanoi Rocks,
Yardbirds,Johnny Burnette Trio,Twisted Sister,Tiny Bradshaw,Zeppelin,Jeff Beck,Tragiclly Hip to name a few off the top of my head.

I seen ZZ Top twice once in support of 'Deguello' & once in Support of 'Eliminator' & they put on spectacular shows both times.

I saw the "Deguello" tour myself Bucky, and it was a fantastic show, the boys were in their prime back then.

I don't think i can count how many covers have been done of that song, I do get sick of the album version, I've heard it soooooo much, but live it had a new energy so I wasn't sick of it, same thing with "Love in an Elevator" when they played it

I would've loved to hear those 2 tunes with the new energy you mentioned. It definitely sounded like a pretty decent show:cheers:

Just out of curiosity,do you remember who opened for them when you seen them???

One of the 2 times I seen ZZ Top,Loverboy opened & the other time was Sammy Hagar.
Loverboy was amazing for that show as was Sammy(I always loved Sammy's old band before he joined VH)

Yeah up here it was the "Powder Blues Band", basically Tom Lavin's band the former lead guitarist for Prism.

I saw them at Jones Beach this year and they were AMAZING! Steven rocked as usual, as was said before I don't think I could do what he's doing at 60!

I'll be going to see Joe Perry on November 10th at the Fillmore too :D
