I remember watching MMT on tv as a young teen going wtf :wtf: lol it's very trippy stuff lol

my dad was all indignant about it too. 'Damn Beatles running around like idiots ..drugs addicts..how can you watch this crap!" lol Harsh Dad !

but the music is always the saving grace lol

i saw it once a very long time ago and it went over my head (just like "Yellow Submarine" did but I have since seen that one dozens of times). I would love to see MMT again and I'm sure I will after it is re-released. Of course, I'll hafta get in the right frame of mind first.....:****:;)

I can agree that "Sgt. Pepper" is the best but for the life of me I can't figure out what all the hubbub about "Revolver" is. I listened to it yet again this past weekend and I still don't see the big deal.

On November 8th, 1965....The Beatles worked on a new George Harrison song ‘Think For Yourself’ at Abbey Road for their forthcoming Rubber Soul album. After rehearsing the song, they recorded the basic instrumental track in one take.

Rubber Soul is my all time favorite Beatles album..just for public record.

It doesn't have the flash fancy slickness of later albums it's simple and beautiful.
It is also one of the last albums they were still writing songs together..unlike later ones were they might add a line or riff what have you..to a song..

In Rubber Soul they were still getting on as a band and as mates,,and I just like that they still ENJOYED playing together at this point..They were contributing more of THEIR ideas into the music..
less George Martin more Beatles
