Ahh Where to start.. How about this tribute by them..


My thoughts on this album is it is a must have if you like Zeppelin.. Even Robert Plant admitted that he was honored that Jack Russell did a good job at singing just like him.
I will sit through the whole CD without backing up a song or skipping through others..

Now another great CD they put out is..Sail Away


A journey into more acoustical songs but there still is the element of some good Rock and Roll.
Third choice for Great White is Psycho City


Then you get into their earlier stuff that is more like what was popular during the 80's..
But I give Great White a BIG THUMBS up for being a above average band that maybe to some took a wrong turn and copied one of the best bands (Zeppelin) and turned off a few Rock fans for doing that.. Oh Well..

I knew you were going to post the Zeppelin tribute there Thumper...I really need to sit one day and give that thing a full on listen. Glad to see you pop in here...I had a feeling you would!!

You know I have Known about Great White for decades, but don't have any of their albums. I have no explanation why, just an oversight I guess on my part.

I have seen their Zep Tribute record before, but didn't give it a second thought. I am curious now though, and will pick that one up and maybe a couple of others to catch up.

so my question didn’t get answered ... but that’s all right!

I got into Great White when I first heard Rock Me on the radio then bought the cassette of the Once Bitten album. I played that thing incessantly while delivering pizza at the time. I’m surprised I didn’t wear it out. I still have it but also have the album on CD. I still think it’s a really good album.



I remember thinking Lady Red Light reminded me more of the Scorpions. But I do get the Robert Plant comparisons.

Great White is one of the few 80’s metal bands I got into and still like ... and this without the benefit of MTV or music videos! As I mentioned above it was because I heard them on the radio and liked how the band sounded.

This is their more bluesy stuff than metal but I like this song and video a lot:

I LOVE Great White!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seen them several times. Last time I seen them was last year in July
in Vegas. Met up with my friend Nancy from Cali. That was the last
show Jack did before he had an emergency operation. They are still
touring but with a different singer until Jack gets well enough to
travel.

Was at the Key Club in L.A. for their first show together in years.

I'm sure that was just an oversight And I'd say it'll be for discussing 'anything' Great White

The albums I know are Once Bitten and Twice Shy, I used to play them a lot, although I have to admit I've not heard them in so long. Was good to hear House of Broken Love again Opera Races And I just have to post this...
