I figured we didn't have an official Tears for Fears thread, so why not make one. Of course everybody knows there huge hits such as the song below:

But Tears for Fears has a lot of other great songs. They were predominantly big in the 80's, but did release a few albums in the 90's.

I've really been enjoying their greatest hits album which has songs that not everyone may know such as a few below:

Head Over Heels:
[GROOVESHARK]15180115[/GROOVESHARK]

Woman In Chains:
[GROOVESHARK]14699668[/GROOVESHARK]

Suffer the Children:
[GROOVESHARK]10705409[/GROOVESHARK]

Anyways, what are your thoughts on the band?

Awesome! One of my mom's favorite bands (or duos) . I never really got too much into their stuff besides the "classics" though. :)

Ah well you should check them out more. They do have some good stuff that I didn't know about outside of the classics.

I like them well enough. I'm a big fan of The Human League and they have a similar sound IMO. :grinthumb

The song that I first remember hearing from TFF was Shout. I liked
it the first time I heard it and it is still one of my 2 or 3 favorites by them.
I was never a big fan of the band, but I did like a few of their tunes.

Another song I really got into from them came out back in the late 80's, the title track from their third album... The Seeds of Love

Ok, yeah yeah, it's not a true by-the-book 'title track' as the album is
called "The Seeds of Love" and the song is "Sowing the Seeds of Love",
but close enough.

another song that it seems to have fallen between the cracks is a song off of their first album, Mad World. The song was re-made by Gary Jules in 2000 (or 2001) for the movie Donnie Darko. That remake was a bit slower and more acoustic. Also a good version, but I'll always remember the TFF original

I only have Songs From The Big Chair, but I still play that album once in a while.

This edition sounds excellent.
