I've been in and out of this thread today, but I really like what im hearing. I'm not totally into the classical stuff these days, but i'm more than willing to give it a chance. In fact, it's interesting how I haven't really been into this genre too much, when I listen to a lot of post-rock, and a lot of that has a classical sound to it.

^^What's that old saying..."You can lead a horse to water, but can't force them to drink..."

She would be welcome of course.

As for P&C's comment about "detecting" some similarities in classical and his beloved post-rock that doesn't surprise me in the least. All our modern music owes something to the old masters, it's like a big tapestry all interconnected.

Nice to see a youth movement in this old hidebound section anyway, almost makes me feel young again.:heheh:

^Good point. I don't really think about how much influence the classical artists had and have on modern day genres. Something that just unfortunately seems to slip my mind from time to time.

Yeah, she's more of an artist anyways...she goes on this site called DeviantArt for a lot of the time she spends on the computer, posting drawings she makes and what not...

It would be cool to see her come on here every now and then though, seeing as she likes classic rock as well, but I won't force it on her.
