Very close but I went with Lou Reed! I love the studio version best, but his version of "Walk on the Wildside" on the 'Live Take No Prisoners' album should be heard because he explains the whole song including all of the characters. That version could be annoying if you just want to hear the song straight through but I find it fun (most of the album is like that). He sings a verse & then goes on with these stories. The song is basically 17 minutes of Lou talking but it is fun & interesting

This song is sooo cool, a line was used for The Breakfast Club. :heheh:

But really, I think it's the better of the two. The Reed track is a classic but I have to be in the mood for it, where as Bowie, I could listen to that tune any time. :grinthumb
