I would have put Boston in place of Loverboy if I were making the list. And I am shocked that Bon Jovi didn't make the list.
Another great arena rock band to include would have been Asia.

Well, I wanted to say the list totally missed the boat by NOT including Aerosmith, but y'all know I love Aerosmith and I didn't want to shamelessly promote my favorite band

:cheers2

No comment on any of this except to say I Hate the term "Arena Rock" and don't place any value on it or where bands I like rate according to their misguided standards.:nw:

I do have trouble wrapping my brain around the therm "arena rock" as a genre, but those bands were geared up for making fantastic live shows back in the late 70's and 80's.......

^^They have been making music in "Arena's" since the days of the Greek Empire in their amphitheaters, which were designed to deliver the best acoustics possible for everyone to hear even a whisper.

If it were meant in a complimentary fashion I would not complain, but many people use "Arena Rock" in the same way they use "Hair Metal", in a derogatory way and that ****** me off.

Things like "Hair Metal" or "Arena Rock" to me means "bands who play for ***loads of fans" :heheh:

So it's funny when these terms are thrown around to be derogatory.
