Frédéric François Chopin, 1 March 1810 – 17 October 1849, was a Polish composer, virtuoso pianist, and music teacher of French-Polish parentage. He was one of the great masters of Romantic music.

All of Chopin's works involve the piano. They are technically demanding but emphasize nuance and expressive depth. Chopin invented the musical form known as the instrumental ballade and made major innovations to the piano sonata, mazurka, waltz, nocturne, polonaise, étude, impromptu and prélude.

Chopin - Valentina Igoshina - Fantasie Impromptu

Chopin - Valentina Igoshina - Polonaise in A Flat 'Heroique'

Chopin - Grand Waltz Brilliant

I'm not so much into classical music, I have only o few cds and vinyls, but from time to time I enjoy some piano works. I like Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 very much.

Bob is that really you in here???

Maybe you confused Frederic Chopin the pianist with Fred Choppin the heavy metal keyboard player from some Scandinavian metal band......:lmao:

Just kidding, I have the complete set of Chopin's compositions in the library, he is definitely one of the great composers of classical music. Piano is his specialty but unlike Beethoven he was much more melodic/laid back in his approach.

My respect for your music taste has just grown a lot Bob.:cheers2

Yes it's me. :peek :heheh: And I have a couple more favorite classic composers.

Just the melody and expressiveness of his music attracted me. Chopin's piano works are very relaxing. And this is what I need sometimes after some rough heavy metal rounds :grinthumb.

I Like Chopin :lmao:

I always like to watch piano players play some of the retardedly insane pieces, like this:

Valentina Lisitsa (Chopin 24 Etudes DVD track)Op. 25 No. 12

Their fingers look so fluid like spiders... or like a face hugger from Aliens attached to each arm :oyea:
