Here's a list of tracks by the Rolling Stones that I just don't like:

Good Times, Bad Times
Sing This All Together
On with the Show
Street Fighting Man
Prodigal Son
Country Honk
You Can't Always Get What You Want
It's Only Rock 'n Roll
Fool to Cry
Neighbours
Undercover of the Night

:wtf:

Those two stand out, I'm also impartial to a fair few of their slower songs...some of them are beautiful and full of life but others missed the mark and ended up sounding flat. I'd name them, but I'd have to listen to them all first XD

Emotional Rescue by the Stones. I hate Mick's singing on this one.

Ha Ha Said the Clown by the Yardbirds (the singer Keith Relf is the only actual Yardbird performing on this track). I really HATE this song! Its beyond description. Sad that it was their last single to chart.

Correct! I agree on both counts.

"Emotional Rescue" is one of the Stones' tunes where Mick clowns around with his voice to the detriment of the song.

"Ha Ha Said the Clown" was producer Mickie Most's last ditch attempt to create a top forty hit for the Yardbirds. Getting them(Keith) to record a tune better suited to Herman's Hermits was not the way to do it though. He should/could have tried instead to find a composition that played to the Yardbirds' strengths.

I'm going to bump this thread with my own contribution, because this is a fun topic.

So far I've seen no mention of the travesty that is "Hats Off to (Roy) Harper"...

OK, really. The first time I heard this song, I had to check the turntable to make sure nothing was wrong with the LP. It sounds like they're on different floors of a building, doing individual soundchecks. Through tin cans. With help from three-year-olds. And with instruments they bought from Wal-Mart. THAT'S how they decided to end the great Led Zeppelin III?!? Seriously?!?

...but maybe I just don't "get it." Ah, well.

Neurotica and You Bet Your Life from Rush's Roll The Bones. Filler is not something you mention often with Rush but those two songs qualify.

The thread title says it all.

What is the worst song (or songs) by some of your favorite artists?

You can include popular songs of theirs that you hated. Say Love In An Elevator by Aerosmith, for example. Then again, there are always the ill-advised singles that made it onto radio/video, seemed like a good idea at the time to the band but the public response to those singles was mostly negative.

Another idea is really dull album filler tracks that landed with a thud, stuff that just slows down the momentum of an album. That would obviously be stuff that was probably never played live by the band or released as a single. Perhaps something like Deep Purple's Mad Dog or AC/DC's Go Zone meets that criteria.

Then you always have the luxury of using later day songs by a given artist.

With that said, my opinion is the more liberal you are with artists the better. The thread asks for your "favorite" artists. However, I would hope that you'd also include artists who aren't your all-time favorites but those that you listen to at least casually.

Go Zone I quite like but I think Some Sin for Nuthin is the worst song, I agree Blow Up Your Videos production was really poor, way too much filler, not much else other then repetitive production sounds.
