What was your favourite band of the past decade (2000-2009)? Please only choose one. I have lots of favourites from the previous decade too, but I want to see which band is the most popular here on CRF.

My pick is Keane. :)

Well there are at least a dozen bands I could pick but clearly the most sensible (and probably most obvious choice for me) would be none other than the boys from The Darkness.

(Sure, it might not be quite a grand as Zeppelin's but how many other bands in the last 30 years have had their name on a jet of any kind and taken a picture? :D)

I think I'll go with Radiohead cause really it was their post 2000 stuff I like the most

Um...I'm pretty sure that because BeatlesFan didn't pick The Beatles that means you're suppose to pick a band that actually started in the 2000's, not just someone who's music you've liked over the last decade.

Although, the Beatles didn't actually release music in the 00's. Radiohead did.

My interpretation was on the band's 00's output, rather than starting date for the band. But maybe I interpreted differently

They might not have put out any new material but "1" is the highest selling album of the 2000's so.....that's up in the air.

The OP isn't really specific but that's just how I interpreted that. :dunno:

Hmm well if we work it in cosmics way it rules out an aweful lot of bands who were succesful in the 2000's. Feldsters matchbox 20 started in 1995.

May I say Cat Empire? Their first performance was 1999 but their first album wasn't til 2003
